Heart, a Twine game
about tarot cards, legacies, and coming to terms with what you're willing to give up to get what you want. This work draws on my love of horror and my experience writing homebrew campaigns and using tarot cards in my TTRPG design to structure my narratives, and explores themes and histories that I introduced in my much longer branching Twine game Dark Forest, made two years prior. Heart was written almost two years later and both illustrates my writing style and conveys themes of desperation, consumption, and the tunnel as narrative structure that are emblematic of my work.
